The Jigsaw Puzzle is an activity in JumpStart Preschool (1995). It is accessed by clicking on the Jigsaw Puzzle in the classroom.


The player must place several puzzle pieces on the puzzle in the correct areas. The puzzle has several empty spaces, and the player must match the silhouette of an empty space to one of the puzzle pieces.

There are four puzzles: Beach, Underwater, Zoo, and Shapes. The player can browse through the puzzles by clicking on the small red arrow near the bottom right corner of the puzzle area.

Difficulty level differences

  • Level one: The player has four puzzle pieces, which must be placed into four empty spaces.
  • Level two: The player has eight puzzle pieces, which must be placed into four empty spaces. Each of the pieces is one half of an object or animal. The player must match two halves to a whole. Corresponding halves appear side by side in the puzzle piece container.
  • Level three: Same as level two, except that the order of the puzzle pieces in the puzzle piece container is randomized, two corresponding halves won't automatically appear next to each other.

Click on the Jigsaw Puzzle sitting on the table to the left of the notepad. This will take you to a beach background containing a number of puzzle outlines. The purpose of this game is to put the puzzle pieces in the correct puzzle piece outline. On the bottom of the screen are several puzzle pieces. Click on a puzzle piece and drag it to the correct area. Click again to place the puzzle piece. For a hint, click on a Puzzle Piece Outline seen on the beach background. There are also puzzles for underwater, shapes and the zoo.
