Knowledge Adventure, Inc. is an American software company that makes educational games. It has existed since 1991, and games are still being published under the Knowledge Adventure name today. The titles published by Knowledge Adventure include the JumpStart Games and the Math Blaster games.


Knowledge Adventure, Inc. was founded in 1991 by Bill Gross.

In August of 1995, Knowledge Adventure acquired Fanfare Software, which developed the titles JumpStart Kindergarten (1994) and JumpStart 1st Grade (1995).

In February 1997, Knowledge Adventure was acquired by CUC International, Inc.

Originally, Knowledge Adventure had an official site located at the web address, which launched sometime around 1996. By December of 1998, the official site's address had changed to, and remains that way since.

The Knowledge Adventure website has always been used to promote Knowledge Adventure products, and usually hosts a variety of online games and activities as well.


The first Knowledge Adventure logo looked like a white silhouette of a person holding their arms up, with two planets and a sun above their head. It was used roughly through 1998.

The second Knowledge Adventure logo looked like a silhouette of a person ascending a set of stairs and reaching for a star. It was used roughly from 1998 through 2011.

The current Knowledge Adventure logo looks like a blue shield with a red capital K, a yellow capital A, and a gold star.
