Lucky Ducky (also known simply as Ducky), previously called Matching Duckies, is an activity that appears in multiple JumpStart games. It was originally designed to only teach letter recognition skills at a preschool level, but was expanded to teach a wide variety of different skills as well in later games.

Premise[]

The player makes matches with rubber ducks to uncover a picture underneath.

Description[]

Eight rubber ducks are arranged in a square. The player can click on a duck to turn it over, and reveal a letter or number underneath. The objective is to find another duck with the same letter or number. When the player matches two ducks, those ducks will move out of the way of the picture, and the water tiles underneath those ducks will disappear as well, revealing part of an image. When all of the ducks have been matched, a picture of a JumpStart character will be uncovered, and a short poem describing the image will be read to the player. The images depict various healthy habits and good behaviors.
