The Pizza Picker Game is an activity in JumpStart 1st Grade. It is designed to teach reading and visual discrimination skills for first graders. It is accessed by clicking on Frankie in the lunch room, or by clicking on the pizza in the kitchen.
Frankie will give the player an order for a pizza with specific toppings, and in levels 2 and 3, a specific size. There are five possible pizza toppings (pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, flies, and worms) and in levels 2 and 3, two possible sizes (small and large). The player is presented with several pizzas, and only one of the pizzas will match Frankie's requirements. The player has about fifty seconds to fill as many of Frankie's orders as possible. The activity ends when the timer runs out. The number of pizza orders the player completes determines how many reading points they receive at the end of the activity.
If the player is inactive for a certain amount of time, Ms. Pickles appears to advise the player to hurry.
Difficulty Level Differences
