A machine that turns coal into gems? No wonder this kingdom is so wealthy--and no wonder Ratso wants to take control of it. Can you help add to the inventory of gems in the King's Treasury? The coal must travel along the correct path in a "tilting floor" maze. When it reaches its final destination, poof, it's a gem!

  • To begin, Edison will give you a lump of coal.
  • Move the coal around by clicking on the maze's outer edges. When you click a point along the edge, the whole floor will tilt and the coal will roll in that direction. Try clicking your mouse closer to the center and you'll notice that the coal will move slower.
  • Maneuver the coal toward the holes with the desired attributes and away from those you don't need.
  • Repeat for all four gems.
  • After you create four gems, you'll need to answer three questions correctly to get the vault to open. And you'll be rewarded for your efforts: a potion ingredient if you're on a mission, and bravery points just for unlocking it!
